Terms & Conditions of Engagement

Please read all  Terms & Conditions before booking your session.  Payment of deposit assumes your agreement of these Terms & Conditions.


Services

Simple Life Spaces offers a professional decluttering & home organisation service in Northamptonshire, Lincolnshire, Cambridgeshire, Leicestershire & Rutland. 


Best Advice

Any and all advice offered by Simple Life Spaces is done so in good faith. Simple Life Spaces does not make decisions on behalf of the client. Decisions made regarding the removal of items solely lies with the client. Simple Life Spaces will not be held liable for any decisions made or actions taken by the client, prior to, during or after any booked appointment or consultation. 


Handling Goods

Whilst Simple Life Spaces endeavours to handle all items with care and every effort is made to ensure damages do not occur, occasionally accidents may happen. Simple Life Spaces will not be held liable for any loss or damage incurred to the client's property or possessions. The client assumes responsibility to ensure adequate and appropriate insurance cover for their property & possessions. 


Removal of Goods

Simple Life Spaces advocates disposing of unwanted items in the most ecological, sustainable and environmentally friendly way possible. Simple Life Spaces can offer advice and provide information on local recycling, charity donation and refuse services. Simple Life Spaces does not take away unwanted items, but helps with the sorting of items and loading of vehicles. It is the responsibility of the client to ensure the appropriate removal and disposal of all or any unwanted items. 


Limitation of Work

Simple Life Spaces does not offer the following services: valuation of items, identification of rarity, selling of items, removal of items, removal of furniture, construction of furniture, cleaning.


Hours of Work

Simple Life Space's standard working hours are Mon-Fri 8.30am-5.30pm. Bookings made for non-standard working hours (weekends, evenings & public holidays) are charged at a premium rate. 

If you book a full day (7 hours of service), an un-paid 30 minute lunch break will be included in the scheduled time. Decluttering can be physically and emotionally demanding for clients. The booked session time is inclusive of any additional breaks that the client needs to take. Any additional time required to complete the project is charged by the hour at the current hourly rate.  All current fees can be viewed here


Access to Property

It is the client's responsibility to ensure adequate access inside and outside of the property so that the agreed services can be undertaken in a safe manner. If Simple Life Spaces considers the working area to be unsafe, Simple Life Spaces reserves the right to cancel the appointment without notice or issuing of refund. Balance of payment for the booking will also be due.


Insurance

Simple Life Spaces holds public liability insurance & professional indemnity with Direct Line.  


Fees

All current fees may be viewed here. Any additional hours required beyond the half or full day package booked will be chargeable at the current hourly rate. 

Mileage is free within a 15 miles radius of Oundle, Northamptonshire. Mileage beyond a 15 mile radius of Oundle is charged at 45p per mile. Any additional expenses (e.g. mileage, extended travel time, parking, accommodation) will be added to  the final balance, due at the time of project completion. 


Payment Terms Deposit

A 50% deposit is required to secure a booking. The balance of payment is due at the time of project completion. Payment may be made with cash or via BACS. Simple Life Spaces cannot accept cheques. 


Cancellation

72 hours (3 working days) notice is required to cancel a booking. If 72hrs notice to cancel is not given, the deposit will not be refunded and the full balance of payment of the booking must be made upon cancellation.

48 hrs notice is required to reschedule a booking to a different date. Appointments may only be rescheduled once and must be rescheduled to a date within 6 weeks of the original booking date. Cancellations of previously rescheduled appointments will not be refunded and the full balance of payment of the booking must be made upon cancellation., irrespective of any notice given.

If due to exceptional and unforeseen circumstances, Simple Life Spaces is required to reschedule a booked appointment, as much notice as possible will always be given and alternative dates, as close as possible to the original booking, will be offered. If the alternative dates offered are not acceptable to the client, a full refund of the deposit paid, will be given. 


Confidentiality/Privacy

Simple Life Spaces takes client confidentiality and privacy very seriously. Simple Life Spaces Privacy Policy can be viewed here. A DBS certificate is held and is available to be viewed upon request.


Photography

Simple Life Spaces will take 'before and after 'photographs as a measure of the work carried out. Photography is an important part of marketing the services offered by Simple Life Spaces. Photogrpahs used for marketing purposes, either online or offline, will  not include client identifiable information. All photography remains the property of Simple Life Spaces.


Recommendations of Third Parties

If Simple Life Spaces offer third party recommendations, Simple Life Spaces will not be held liable for the actions of, products or services provided by or for any fees charged by the third party provider. Any decision to engage with a third party is the responsibility of the client. 


Pets

Simple Life Spaces recommends that pets (especially dogs) are kept away from the working area for safety reasons. It is the client's responsibility to ensure that any pets within the property are not able to leave the property whilst doors are open (e.g. while items are being moved outside or vehicles are loaded.) 


Polite Notice 

Please note that Simple Life Spaces does not work or provide services in properties within which smoking or vaping takes place.
